What in the world IS JavaScript, anyway?

Here is what Google has to say about JavaScript: ( JavaScript Definition )

Essentially, JavaScript is a scripting language - a bit of code your browser can interpret to do something. If your browser disables JavaScript, you can view any raw HTML page, but your browser will ignore any special JavaScript code.

Sometimes, this is useful. Some sites use JavaScript to show all sorts of annoying banners. Disabling JavaScripting, unfortunately, has the effect of 'throwing the baby out with the bath' - you don't have to see annoying promotions, but you won't get any of the JavaScript functionality a website offers.

While we certainly can't force you to turn on JavaScripting, keep in mind that the entire Victorine Originals database is JavaScript-driven. You can turn on JavaScripting while visiting our website, and then turn it off again when you leave.

Victorine Originals doesn't use annoying JavaScript popups - on of the major reasons JavaScript is turned off on most browsers.

Must I Enable Javascript to see the Victorine Originals stamps?

No, you can still view the inventory and purchase products. However, Victorine Originals uses several bits of JavaScript to load the stamp inventory from the database on the server. If JavaScript is disabled, some of the site functionality is no longer present. In order to ensure that you can see all of the products and their sale prices, it is best to turn on JavaScripting.
